It uses the therapeutic power of Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation (DTPS) to stimulate pressure points throughout the body, thereby contributing to enhanced sleep, mood and relaxation. Our weighted blanket is engineered to be between 10% and 15% of your body weight to relax the nervous system by simulating the feeling of being hugged or held.

Can't sleep without it

TSB Living's weighted blanket was rated one of the top 5 weighted blankets available in NZ when I was looking on Google on where to purchase one. I ordered this blanket during the level 4 covid restrictions in Auckland and was surprised to receive it within 5 business days.

I absolutely love it and have it on my queen bed. However, I wish it were longer in width so that it covers me from my toes to my shoulders. I'm 5"6 and it just reaches my armpits. If I turn the blanket around, there is zero draping over the sides of my queen bed so if sharing with my partner, we'd have to squeeze up closer to each other to get draping over us unless we turn it around and sacrifice getting coverage above my armpits and his chest, or sacrifice our feet.

The blanket seems to be able to remove heat while providing the right amount of warmth and comfort with the warmer weather approaching. My partner shares it with me and suffers from anxiety and insomnia. This blanket has helped to resolve this since the first day we used it. We'll be buying another one so we have separate weighted blankets. I think it works better per person. You won't get the bridging in-between you and your significant other so it'll drape nicely over you. We've tried sleeping without it with the warmer weather but we gave up at 5am and put it back on.

It has excellent quality. On each corner and in the middle of each side, there's a loop that is made to secure the cover onto it. The cover has ties placed in the same spot to tie into the weighted blanket loops to stop the cover from moving around. I thought this was a great touch and am now considering doing this to all my duvet inners and covers. Hopefully you'll be getting more covers for them soon. Only one grey dotted minky cover is available at this stage. It's comfortable but just unflattering so we use a light comforter over the top.

Anyway despite some of my negative points, I would still give this 5 stars because the health benefits outweigh the size and how the cover looks. It has helped with my partner's mental health tremendously and both of our insomnia so I highly recommend it just like how Google recommended it from TSB Living. We're very happy with this purchase.
