How to Set Up Your Instant Canopy
Please read each step before you attempt set up.
Place instant canopy in the center of the area to be sheltered. Remove cover. With a partner on the opposite side, grasp two outer legs. Lift off the ground and step backwards, stopping at full arm's length.
Grasp the bottom of the diamond on opposite sides. Lift up and step backwards until the shelter is fully opened, being careful not to pinch fingers. (For 3M x 6M shelter, see 2b)
For 3M x 6M shelter: with a partner, move to the middle leg of the 6M side. Grasp the bottom of the "diamond." Lift up and step backwards at the same time until fully opened, being careful not to pinch fingers at the end of the truss.
Engage the auto slider at each corner by pushing up with one hand while holding down the top of the leg with the other hand. The snap button will engage in the hole. Repeat on all other legs.
Lift two adjacent outer legs up and pull out the inner legs until the snap button locks. Repeat on all legs. Raise or level the shelter using the adjustment holes near the bottom of each outer leg.
- Always stake or weight down your instant canopy. Take it down if heavy winds threaten to blow.
- Use a mild soap (not detergent) and plenty of water for top cleaning.
- Let the instant canopy top and frame dry completely before closing or storing.
- The instant canopy is designed as a temporary shelter. We do not recommend leaving it up for extended periods, and it should never be left unattended.
- Save these instructions for future reference.
How to Take Down Your Instant Canopy
Lift two adjacent outer legs slightly, depress the snap button, and telescope the inner legs up into the outer legs. Repeat on the opposite side.
Release the auto slider at each corner by pushing up slightly with one hand while depressing the snap button to release pressure on the slider. Repeat on all four corners.
Grasp the top of the diamond on opposite sides. Lift up. Shake the shelter a little while stepping towards your partner until the unit is 3/4 closed. Grasp two outer legs and push together to fully close.
Be careful not to pinch fingers!
